Due to weather conditions in September, the event had to be postponed and is now taking place this weekend in Watergate Bay, Cornwall. With two full days of racing ahead there will be around 20 teams competing in 6 heats. Racing starts from 11.30am on both days and Team 26 are expected to come 4th, however, there is a strong possibility that they may take home the bronze.
Martin Jerome, Co-Pilot for Team 26, commented:
“It’s been a tough competition and our team have been working very hard. We are hoping to build on this season’s success and come back fighting next season. We would like to thank our sponsors P & I for their support over the last two seasons.”
Team 26 consists of Pilot, Simon Matthews and Co-Pilot, Martin Jerome who are the current National Speed Record Holders for the Zapcat ZCR50 Racing. In 2015, they also set another National & World Water Speed Record.
