P & I go green with first hybrid company car

Hybrid

P & I’s first hybrid car, a Volvo XC90 T8 Hybrid

On Friday 1st September, we welcomed our first hybrid car to the fleet, a Volvo XC90 T8 Hybrid.

Having committed to replacing all company cars with hybrids within the next year, the Volvo is just one of many about to join the P & I fleet. In just a few short weeks, our second vehicle, a Toyota C-HR Hybrid, will be replacing business development executive, Ross Grant’s current car.

As an ISO 14001 accredited company, we are continuously monitoring and trying to find ways to improve our environmental impact. By introducing hybrid cars, this is just another step to show how committed P & I are to the environment.

ISO 14001 is an international standard that helps organisations to implement environmental managements systems which provide value to the environment, the organisation and interested parties.

Managing Director of P & I, Paul Benfield commented:

“As a company, we have committed to replacing all of our company cars with hybrids within the next year. We are a forward-thinking business accredited with ISO 14001, which means the environment is at the forefront of everything we do. In today’s current climate, I think all businesses should be displaying greater awareness and concern for environmental issues. I hope this pledge to make P & I greener, shows
our customers and suppliers that we are continually looking for ways to
improve our environment impact.”
